How to watch videos on Google nexus 7 or other Jelly Bean devices?

When you are excited to get the long-anticipated Google Nexus 7 ordered on the Internet or you just think you are lucky enough to upgrade your android system to Jelly Bean, later you will find out, Adobe Flash isn’t officially supported in the newest Android version, 4.1 Jelly Bean and then you cannot watch the video with your devices. Though the default browser for the Nexus 7 and other Jelly Bean devices is now Chrome, which has built-in Flash support in the desktop versions, this does not apply to mobile devices. Maybe you just want to download the video then watch it on your device, but sometimes you need to convert the video since Jelly Bean don't support all the video formats .Fortunately, there are still some ways, following will be introduced, to watch the streaming videos on your Jelly Bean gadgets.

    Abode Flash
You cannot download the flash app on the Google Play and Adobe warned that attempts to install Flash on Jelly Bean devices wouldn’t work, but a couple of XDA-Developers forum members have already found a way to do just that. On devices that upgraded to Jelly Bean, such as the Galaxy Nexus, the stock “Browser” app still exists. Users can sideload the Flash APK and enable it via the browser’s settings, then enjoy surfing and viewing media as before.
    Nexus 7 flash
Nexus 7 that comes with Jelly Bean pre-installed no longer have the Browser app, just Chrome. And mobile Chrome won’t hook up with Flash even if it’s installed. Then you need to install the Browser app from previous Android versions. That, coupled with sideloading Flash, will get you back to normal. And you can get the detailed how-to and APK downloads from XDA Developers.

When you successfully installed the Flash, you can watch the video on your Nexus 7with a higher quality and impacted performance. You can just pop open your browser at any time and stream Flash video.

Plex is an all-in-one solution that uses a media server on your computer to route Flash video to your device. It works on Android devices running 1.6 or later. The set up process was a little arduous. The server requires the installation of some Visual Studio redistributables on Windows, and it pops up a lot of UAC warnings, once we got up and running, we were able to add plug-ins and local content easily. Plex currently supports over 200 Channels including CNET, YouTube, Vimeo, Revision3 and many other popular online sources so that you can watch the videos on these websites with it.
    Plex

A more expansive option is the new PlayOn service. With PlayOn Mobile you can watch all of the online content from Hulu, Netflix Instant Queue*, Comedy Central, MLB.tv*, CNN, CBS, ESPN, ESPN3, TV.com, SpikeTV, The Ultimate Fighter, Amazon VOD, TBS, BET, and many more. Also, you will have to install a desktop server for this app and the Adobe Flash Player app on your phone or tablet as well, but the set up was s breeze compared to Plex. The app itself is free, but you need a yearly subscription to PlayOn to use it after the 14-day trial period. It can work over Wi-Fi or 3G.

Although there are apps to watch video, flash is the best and preferred way for us to watch video on Jelly Bean Devices.

Jelly Bean now available to UK Asus Transformer Pad

     Asus Transformer Pad
Asus customers have it easier when it comes to receiving the latest and greatest software update on their devices. The fact that the company played a big role in the release of the Nexus 7, the first tablet to sport Jelly Bean, certainly helped Asus roll out the Android 4.1 update ahead of other manufacturers. While American folks already got their Transformer Pad’s belly filled with some jelly a week ago, the update has finally reached other variants of the tablet, it seems.

Asus UK has confirmed that they are pushing out the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for the Asus Transformer Pad TF300. This means it’s time to start to frantically check for the update notification on your tablet.

We’re reading scattered reports that the Jelly Bean update for another variant of the Transformer Pad – specifically the WW variant – has also arrived. But right now it seems to be limited only to a lucky few and we have yet to hear any confirmation from Asus. The update has apparently reached folks in Greece, Poland, Slovakia and possibly more.

If you already see the notification, it’s worth to mention that the update may only install perfectly on non-rooted devices that run stock ROM.

It is luck seeing Jelly Bean on your non-U.S. Asus Transformer Pad TF300,isn't it?

    Android tablets

Although the release of Google Nexus 7 on June has succeed in taking away people’s attention on iPad with its 7inch screen and inexpensive price but a best android operating system Jelly Bean, iPad is still irreplaceable at the moment. And Apple has announced that iPad Mini with 7inth screen will be released at once, which makes people focus on the iPad again. Many other famous producers also decide to launch new tablet to attract people. So let’s have a look at the upcoming android tablets recently released.

While the 8.9-inch will include an HD display with 1920 X 1200 pixel screen resolution. No other features have identified now. The Comparision: Android4.1 Jelly Bean vs. iOS 6 vs. Windows Phone 8

When it comes to operating system, you must know the mainstream operating system -Android, iOS and Windows Phone. And these days Android4.1 Jelly Bean and iOS 6 and Windows Phone 8 have become very hot. Plenty of folks are interested in the three systems, whether they decide to buy a tablet or a smartphone. But what exactly are these systems? Let’s take a closer look at them and compare them in a few aspects.
Android vs. iOS 6 vs. Windows Phone
    Apps
Android is currently at 600,000 total apps. Most of those will run on tablets, but the number of tablet-optimized offerings is obviously lower than iOS (Google won't give an official number, but a quick run through Google Play makes the situation abundantly clear).

Apple owns totally 650,000 apps in the app store and 225,000 of them are for iPad.

Windows Phone currently has 100,000 apps available for download, of course less than the other two. Since the Windows 8 tablet is to be waited, there are no apps for tablet at the moment.

    Maps
Android 4.1’s mapping system bases on the well-known Google Maps, bringing Street View, 3D and indoor mapping. Integrating with Google Now, the mapping system continues the sat-nav experience for both pedestrians and motorists, providing details of how and when to leave to get to your appointments on time.

A maps service of Apple own is supplied like Google and Microsoft. Not only does it deliver traffic updates, points of interest, and turn-by-turn navigation (which is well integrated throughout iOS 6), there are 3D maps which both look cool and might be helpful when lost in the middle of a crowded metropolis. But Apple lacks public transit directions, which makes users very inconvenient.

Windows Phone 7 was of course a showcase for Microsoft's Bing maps, but the mobile navigation turf will belong to Nokia on Windows Phone 8. Fortunately, there are terrific NAVTEQ maps, turn-by-turn navigation, 3D buildings, offline caching, and dynamic routing for public transit. There aren't many bells and whistles here, though, for better or worse.

    Browser Sync
The Chrome Beta on Android also offers tab syncing with your desktop, but bookmark and search syncing in the bargain are thrown. When there are more desktop Chrome users in the world than any other browser, a lot of people will be taking advantage of this feature.

New in iOS 6 are iCloud Tabs, and them unify your browsing across all of your iOS and OS X devices. It's not a full cloud browser that offers the same tab view across all devices but rather a list of tabs tucked behind an icon or sub-menu, along with your bookmarks.

Browser sync is conspicuously absent from Windows Phone, which is odd considering it will run the same version of Internet Explorer that Windows 8 will in the WinRT environment. Then again, with Windows 8 and WP8 both not expected until this fall, there's a lot of time for Microsoft to make this work. Fingers crossed.

    Facebook Integration
Android has always been good for Facebook sharing, and there's no reason for that to change with Jelly Bean. You can share and upload from pretty much anywhere in the OS, or inside most Android apps. Plus you can pull Facebook data for your contacts already stored on your phone, or pull all your Facebook friends into your contacts.

Facebook is integrated throughout iOS 6, which means you can update your status and upload images from various apps (not to mention notification center), sync contacts, and have your Facebook events coordinate with your iOS Calendar. Plus a third-party API is on the way, so all apps can integrate Facebook into their wares.

Facebook integration has always been one of Windows Phone's selling points, as the platform seamlessly integrates features like status updates, images, Contacts, Chat, and Events into Microsoft's own sections (People, Messaging, Calendar, etc). It's as well-designed as Facebook integration can get.

    Voice Commands
With Jelly Bean, speech recognition is about to get a big update. Google has always allowed for voice search and dictation across the entire OS, but now it taps into Knowledge Graph and a built-in speech recognizer that will be in future devices. Not only should Android voice recognition improve dramatically, but it will recognize voice input even while offline and, like Siri, can spit back Wolfram-like semantic search results (with or without your voice).

Siri wasn't amazing in iOS 5, but it worked. In addition to being able to dictate texts and emails, schedule calendar events, and set timers, Siri in iOS 6 has much more promise, given its ability to pull data from even more sources (sports scores, movie times, dinner reservations), in more useful ways. Plus, Siri will be able to interface with car audio and navigation systems once iOS 6 goes live in the fall.

Windows Phone also has voice commands, allowing you to place calls, send texts, search the web, and launch an app all from your device. It may not have the depth of Google and Apple's efforts, but it's there.

    NFC
GGoogle also seems keen to use NFC, using services such as Android Beam and Google Wallet (currently only available in the US). The premier service allows for the instantaneous sharing of contacts, media and apps between two enabled phones, whilst the latter stores your card details to allow instant payment in stores.Google's Android beam gets an overhaul in 4.1. It now provides instant transfer of photos, videos and apps, as well as the instantaneous pairing of NFC enabled Bluetooth devices.
iiOS 6 brings in Passbook. Whilst not entirely a NFC based app, it does provide a lot of the same features, keeping varying tickets to sports, the theatre, airlines or store cards all in one easy to access, and constantly updated place. We're expecting Apple to announce NFC capabilities in the iPhone 5 – given the fact rivals are all over the contactless technology.

Windows Phone 8 packs in Microsoft Wallet, making use of any NFCtechnology packed into handsets. This is all set to tie in to varying applications installed on the phone, allowing payment via services such as Paypal. Other applications, such as instant pairing of Bluetooth accessories will also be supported.

    Video Chat
Android's Gmail/Google Talk-based video chat system is a bit more universal, considering you can video chat with anybody who has Gmail on a Mac, PC, or Android phone. And yes, you can chat over 3G or Wi-Fi. But Google's ace in the hole, surprisingly enough, might just be its updated Google+ app, which features improved Hangout support and will be available for both Android and, some day soon, iPad.

Apple has FaceTime, which can place calls over 3G or Wi-Fi, and works fairly well. But its also a pretty insular app that only works with other Apple devices.

Microsoft's secret voice chat weapon is Skype, which is arguably the most universal standard of them all. There are already proper Skype apps for Macs, PCs, iOS, and Android—and Microsoft owns all of them.

    Media

With the introduction of the $300 Nexus Q, Google just provided its own streaming standard for Android-based devices. The hubs will be able to take audio and video streams, and spit them out to televisions and speakers (powered by the Q's 25-watt amplifier). Plus you can link hubs together for more robust multi-zone streaming than what Apple offers. Think of it as Sonos for Android, complete with the modest sticker shock.

iOS 6 has Airplay, which has been one of the easier, more intuitive implementations of media streaming we've seen so far. You can push music from your computer or iOS device to AirPlay-approved speakers, AirPort Express routers, and Apple TV (which also accepts video and iOS device mirroring, and soon OS X mirroring). And if you're streaming from a computer, you can push to multiple AirPlay devices. But like some of Apple's other features (FaceTime, iMessage), AirPlay doesn't really extend past the Apple product ecosystem. That said, you'll find AirPlay baked into more and more devices with each passing month.

Windows Phone will have SmartGlass to serve as its media streaming portal to the Xbox. Though built directly on top of DLNA streaming standards, the app simplifies and visualizes the process of pushing content back and forth between the Xbox and Windows 8/Windows Phone 8 devices. Plus, Smart Glass can beam supplementary content to your device while watching a TV show, such as Game of Thrones. Toss in the possibilities for gaming and support for Windows, Android, and iOs, and you have yourself a very intriguing streaming platform.

    Tablet support
Android 4.0 was perceived as the operating system that united both smartphone technology with tablet PCs. It took the best of 2.3 (Gingerbread) and combined it with 3.2 (Honeycomb) to provide a seamless experience that has been shown off well on the likes of the Asus Transformer Prime and the released and Google nexus 7 has used the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean which is considered as the best android system.

Microsoft shows off the new Microsoft Surface tablet running windows 8 these days for this part. Whilst there is no word from Microsoft as to whether we will see a Windows Phone 8 Tablet, we would bet that it ties in strongly to Windows 8, as they are both based upon the same kernel to allow easy development on both. Since Windows Phone 8 also supports the 1280x768 resolution, seeing a tablet running the mobile OS is not as farfetched as it might once have been.

For iOS, you may have heard of it… the iPad. Taking the world by storm since its release, the iPad has grown in popularity and is boosted by iOS 6 bringing Siri over from the iPhone 4S to the new iPad.

    Verdict
The smartphone or tablet markets have the ability to support over one operating system at a time for the demands of the users who want different stuffs from different handsets. However, If we observer the markets we probably know that Apple and Google will remain in the dominant position but the fate of Microsoft is still uncertain.

10 things to Start your New Nexus 7 tablet

    Nexus 7's home
The Nexus 7 tablet by Google is a great gadget for the price, but can be overwhelming for the new buyer. That's what it seems from the constant correspondence I get from new buyers asking me what to do first with the new purchase. Colleague David Gewirtz is in that crowd, having just bought a Nexus 7 and complaining to me he can't find online what he should do first. This is for David and all the others in the same boat.

Once your Nexus 7 is out of the box follow the onscreen instructions to get it set up for use. That entails supplying your Google Account (aka Gmail) information and entering in your WiFi network details.

Now that your Nexus 7 is online and logged in here's what you should do next.

    Notification Shade Rotation

    1. Turn on auto-rotation. For some reason Google has decided that the Nexus 7 is best used in portrait (long-wise up and down) orientation. That's not true for some uses, so swipe down from the very top of the screen to make the notifications shade drop down. Look for the little tablet with rotation arrows around it and tap it. That's it, your Nexus 7 will now rotate the screen to landscape orientation (long-wise left and right) when you turn the tablet around.

    2. Buy Ultimate Rotation app. The auto-rotation enabled in #1 above works in any app but not on the home screen where you spend a lot of your time. The Ultimate Rotation app fixes that oversight of Google's by allowing you to rotate the screen any time, even on the home screen. The app does a lot of other things too, but for now just install it and let your screen rotate.

    3. Buy SwiftKey 3 Tablet app. The default onscreen keyboard with the Jelly Bean version of Android on the Nexus 7 is pretty good, but if you want the best typing experience in my opinion get SwiftKey. This keyboard learns how you write by watching you as time progresses, and it quickly gets smart enough to figure out what you are going to type next.

It presents the words it thinks you want to enter as you type, and often figures out what word you will next enter based on the one you are typing now. Just tap the word in the box and it is entered for you, no typing required. The app is cheap and simply wonderful.

In the landscape orientation you can split the keyboard into two halves as in the image above to make it easier to type with thumbs while holding the tablet.

    4. Configure email. The Nexus 7 can handle Gmail and most any email account but they must be set up initially. The Gmail set up is as simple as running the Gmail app which logs you in and begins syncing your mail with Gmail.

For email accounts other than Gmail run the Email app and follow the onscreen instructions to configure your email. This can handle most email accounts without additional information required.

Be sure and enter your preferred signature tag in whatever email accounts you configure before you start sending email.

    5. Update all installed apps. Run the Play Store app preinstalled on your tablet and hit the My Apps icon (down arrow over a line) at the top of the screen. You should see several apps that show an update available, hit the update all button and let it do its thing. In just a few minutes all your installed apps will be updated to the latest version. The first app update may give you the option to automatically update in the future, I recommend allowing this to happen by ticking this box. Account Settings (188x300)

    6. Set up social networks. If you use Facebook, Twitter, or Skype you should set them up so the Nexus 7 can sync with them. Go into Settings and scroll down to the Accounts section and add each network you use.

    7. Set up home screens. The Nexus 7 has five home screens accessed by swiping left and right on the default screen. You can put app icons and widgets on these home screens to arrange things as you prefer. You can access apps and widgets by hitting the Apps icon in the center of the dock on the home screen.

The Nexus 7 ships with lots of apps and widgets installed, experiment with these to find the ones you like, then drag them to the home screen. The Play Store is full of apps and other widgets so investigate them at will.

If you don't like any of the widgets or apps Google has preset on the homescreens you can remove them. Hold down on the app/widget and drag it up to the Remove X that appears at the top of the screen. Removing an app/widget this way only removes it from the home screen, not delete it for good.

    8. Set up the dock. The dock at the bottom of the home screen initially has 5 apps picked by Google for you. The dock is available from any of the 5 home screens and you should put the apps you use most for easy access.

The dock will accept as many as 6 icons, so decide which you want and drag them down to the dock in the order you prefer. If your app is replacing one already in the dock first drag the existing icon in the dock up to the home screen to remove it from the dock. Then drag your new app into place. Home Screen Portrait.

    9. Install Tablified Market HD. The Google Play Store is chock-full of apps but it can be a daunting task to find the good ones. It is especially hard to find the ones that work well on the tablet. The free Tablified Market HD app is a great app for finding all the apps in the Store for the tablet. Tablified Market HD app (188x300)

The apps listed in Tablified are categorized to make finding specific types easy, and there is full search capability to also facilitate finding good apps. Discovering good apps for the Nexus 7 is fun with this app installed.

You can find it by searching for it by name in the Google Play Store.

    10. Set up streaming music from the cloud. If you buy music from the Google Music store or the Amazon MP3 store the Nexus 7 can play your existing music collection by streaming it from the web. This requires a network connection for playing your music but saves valuable tablet storage space which is limited on the Nexus 7.

The Google Play app (preinstalled) is used to listen to Google music collections. Run the app and confirm your Google Account information. Open the settings to set the options you prefer for streaming your music to the tablet.

To stream your Amazon MP3 music from the Amazon Cloud install the Amazon MP3 app in the Play Store. Run it and log into your Amazon account. You will see your entire music collection which is ready for streaming.

If you have downloaded some of your music from either of these services you can set each music playing app to only play locally stored music when there is no web connection.

Therefore, buying a good android tablet for games is a concern. And I have searched the Internet and find some best gaming tablets, and following I want to share them with you.

Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime TF201
Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime TF201 is the best android tablet on the market due to its appealing design and its high end features pack at the moment. It is the first Android tablet which runs quad-core CPU for super snappy performance and impressive gaming experience. It sports an incredible thin profile and a brilliant LED IPS 10.1-inch display which delivers crisp and bright images even at wider viewing angles. The included mobile docking keyboard transforms the tablet into a notebook, as its name indicates. If you purchase the tablet with the optional keyboard dock, you will get a full-size USB port that can connect to standard wired and wireless game controllers. Connect this to your TV with an HDMI cable, and you have the makings of a portable gaming console.

According to Asus, the battery should last up to 12 hours, time that can be extended for 6 more hours when the docking station is attached. The rear 8MP camera with LED flash and large aperture is capable of full 1080p HD video recording, whereas competitors are left behind at 720p.

The result is a stunning 170-ppi pixel density that really shines in console-quality Android games like Blood & Glory. The midsize tablet's light weight and thin design minimize arm and hand fatigue. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE features a PLS-LCD 1280 x 800 pixels panel which displays crisp, clear, super bright and vivid images at wide viewing angles. Toshiba AT300 View

It was only a few months ago that I reviewed the Toshiba AT300's predecessor, the AT200. Still, this new tablet has a revised design and updated specifications. There are three AT300 models: two are Wi-Fi-only with 16GB or 32GB of internal storage costing £274 and £315 (ex. VAT) respectively, while the third is a 16GB Wi-Fi/3G model priced at £329 (ex. VAT).

Toshiba has equipped the AT300 with plenty of punch and a neat physical design, while maintaining reasonably affordable prices. This  thin and light 10.1in. Android tablet measures 260.6mm wide by 178.9 deep by 8.95mm thick and weighs 590g. It doesn't have the most solid feel in the hand, but the stippled silver backplate is nice and grippy. I do prefer the look of the previous model, which is also a bit thinner and lighter, although the AT300 is certainly no monster.

Toshiba's insistence on a proprietary power connection will irritate anyone who uses their tablet a lot and needs regular access to mains power, as it means carrying another AC adapter. The device's Micro-USB port can be used for data exchange and USB host, but not for powering the battery.
    Toshiba AT300

The LED backlit 1,280-by-800-pixel screen is protected by tough Gorilla Glass, but does seem to lack the top-end brightness I've seen from the very best. There's also a slight problem with sound: there are two speakers, and they deliver a fair volume, but audio quality is tinny and doesn't really improve with headphones, either.

Toshiba scores well on connectivity, with Micro-HDMI on board as well as a full-sized SD card slot. I rather like this: microSD cards can be accommodated via a caddy, but the larger slot makes it easy to get images from a camera on to the AT300. If you'd rather use the tablet's main rear-mounted camera for image capture, its 5 megapixel capability isn't that great, but it does have a small LED flash. There's a front-facing 2-megapixel camera for video communication too.
The AT200 shipped with Android 3.2, which is upgraded to Android 4.0 on the AT300. Toshiba adds a fair few apps to the standard bundle, including ThinkFree Office, Evernote, a file manager, Splashtop for remote access to another device and the McAfee Mobile Security suite.

The tablet is powered by a quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor with 1GB of RAM, and is admirably responsive when running applications and games.
The Toshiba AT300's build quality and camera could be better, and I really don't like the proprietary power cable. On the other hand, the quad-core processor is capable, connectivity and expansion facilities are good, and the price is attractive.

Best Cheap Tablets Under $200 for 2012

With the tablets becoming more and more popular, plenty of folks want to own one. For the powerful functions and portable value, you can see tablets everywhere, like school, company and even meeting room. Of course tablets are all the rage, but not everyone can afford a $500 iPad or android tablet. The good news is that competition among an active tablets market should eventually drive down prices. In fact, Amazon Kindle Fire has already started that process and then Google nexus 7 continue the process. And many other good android tablets have started to come down a bit in price. Here we can see a list of best cheap tablets for 2012.

    Google Nexus 7
Undoubtedly, Google nexus 7 brings the tablet to a climax and it turns out that cheap price also can produce best android tablet. At $199,Nexus 7 is a great balance of performance and price for anyone not married to the Apple ecosystem. It’s a revolutionary steal that’s more advanced and powerful than the Transformer, but just as cheap, entertaining, and portable as the much slower Fire. You might have to do a little hunting to find great content on the Nexus 7 (m0re on that later), but 600,000 apps in the Google Play and a mediocre movie, music, and magazine selection is enough to get by for this class of device, especially if you’re willing to take the time to rip the music and movies you already own to use on it. Google nexus 7 can be a miracle of android tablet in 2012, and you will never regret buying it.

    Kindle Fire
Kindle Fire is produced by Amazon, a well-known online retailer. The Kindle Fire is a 7-inch tablet that links seamlessly with Amazon's impressive collection of digital music, video, magazine, and book services in one easy-to-use package. It boasts a great Web browser, and its curated android app store includes most of the big must-have apps (such as Netflix, Pandora, and Hulu). The Fire has an ultra-affordable price tag, and the screen quality is exceptional for the price. Though it lacks the tech specs found on more-expensive Apple and Android tablets, the $199 Kindle Fire is an outstanding entertainment value that prizes simplicity over techno-wizardry. And if you don’t like nexus 7, maybe kindle fire is your great choice.

     Nook Tablet
The Barnes & Noble Nook Tablet is a full-featured tablet with a vibrant 7-inch touch screen, built-in Wi-Fi, 16GB of built-in storage, and a microSD expansion slot. In addition to a full slate of books and magazines, it offers more than a thousand apps through its integrated (and growing) Nook Store and is optimized for Netflix and Hulu Plus video playback. The built-in Web browser works well and offers Flash support. The things we should concerned are there are no access to full Android Market; no Bluetooth, GPS, or camera; no video rental (or purchase) option; sideloaded content beyond 1GB needs to be housed on microSD for Nook tablet.Whatever, the Nook Tablet is a worthy--albeit slightly more expensive--competitor to the Kindle Fire.

    Blackberry Playbook
RIM’s BlackBerry smartphones have an impressive following in the UK business community, but the momentum failed to carry over to the 7-inch PlayBook tablet. Now, nearly a year after its launch, RIM has released an operating system upgrade that adds much-needed features, and with most retailers cutting the price of the PlayBook substantially, it’s become a serious contender. The dual-core 1GHz processor will let you run several apps in different windows and swap between them. Each app takes up the full screen, but swipe upwards and it’s minimised into a window tile that you can scroll through or close down. The new OS update brings support for ported Android apps like Angry Birds, which means the limited selection on App World should start to grow. This is a very well made tablet available at a very reasonable price. Compared to the other devices, the PlayBook stands out as the clear favourite.

    Kobo - Vox tablet
The Kobo Vox is something you should consider if you really are on a shoestring budget – being the cheapest Android tablet in this rundown – you can pick one up. Kobo Vox has very little storage space (8GB, approx. 10 movies or 4,000 books), but you can insert up to a 32GB SD card into it to expand the memory if needed, for just a small price. Mainly built as an eReader, this is a great 7″ tablet for those that are considering both a Kindle and a tablet. Essentially, it is both of the two fused together in a stylish little package. The quilted style backing is something that stands out and Kobo can be proud of their innovatively on that one. The unique design continues into the buttons, with the power, menu and back buttons all being touch sensitive (and therefore not sticking out).Compared to others, maybe Kobo Vox is kind of low popularity, but it still be a good choice for those who want to look for a real good cheap android tablet.

Certainly there are many other cheap android tablets, but these tablets I have listed will be the best for 2012.Maybe you will like them, too.

Kindle Fire vs New iPad, Which is Right for you?

    Kindle Fire and iPad
As Amazon’s first foray into the tablet market, Kindle Fire is widely perceived as the first real competitor to the iPad. Many people who want to buy a tablet just cannot decide which one to buy. Although the release of Nexus 7 makes the condition changed, Kindle Fire is still a great choice for most people for its popularity. So for those who want to buy one from Kindle Fire and New iPad, getting a better understanding of these two tablets is very important. Following we will compare these two tablets in every possible ways.

    Specs

First, the considering factor should be the price. At $199, the Kindle Fire will be a full $300 cheaper than the lowest-priced iPad 2. That's possibly an easier entry point for folks who are intrigued by the iPad but can't justify spending $500 for a portable computer when they already have a smartphone and a laptop.
    New iPad vs Kindle Fire
Hardware cannot decide everything. That means the new iPad thoroughly creams the Kindle Fire in a strict spec comparison. However, not everyone needs Apple's dual-core A5X processor with quad-core graphics. After all, the dual-core 1GHz TI OMAP4 processor in the Kindle Fire is no slouch. A tablet's screen is one of its most important features, and the iPad's 9.7-inch 2,048-by-1536-pixel Retina Display can't be beat. But what if you want to slip your tablet into your jacket pocket? The Kindle's 7-inch (1,024-by-600-pixel) display makes it a lot easier to tote, but it also limits your screen real estate.

Both tablets offer unlimited cloud storage for their respective eco-system content, so internal storage may not be a huge factor, but it's worth thinking if you need to load your own content. The Kindle Fire offers 8GB, while the iPad comes in 16G, 32G, and 64GB capacities. MicroSD or any other storage expansion options are not available on both these two tablets.

As to connectivity, The new iPad offers 4G LTE compatibility, which gives it an edge over the Kindle Fire, but don't forget that there are plenty of solid and affordable mobile hotspot options that will bring the same capability to Amazon's Wi-Fi-only tablet. Both tablets are 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi compatible, but only the iPad supports AirPlay and Bluetooth—this is especially important if you want to stream music or videos wirelessly to your compatible speakers or HDTV.

If you want your new tablet to own a digital camera, then the iPad's new 5-megapixel camera will be a big factor. The Kindle Fire lacks a camera, but the general usefulness of tablet cameras is still up for debate. For Battery life, Kindle Fire is likely to be longer on the iPad.

    Software

More than anything, the software is what sets the Fire and the iPad apart. The Fire’s home screen is a dark faux-wood bookshelf; a search box is fixed on the top, and a list of media categories is spread out underneath it. Below that, recently used items appear on a “carousel” and take up most of the bookshelf, with the rest reserved for a scrollable “favorites” area, where you can pin apps, books, magazines, websites, videos, and even music. The interface is all about getting to your media quickly; rather than tapping on an app and then drilling down to the media you want, à la iPad, you can just click on the media itself. It’s an interesting concept, and it works well.

While the Fire runs a heavily modified build of Android 2.3, you can still feel Android when you’re using it, in the jerky scrolling, in the ever-present software Back, Home and Menu buttons, and in the slightly modified notification drawer. The browser on the Fire, called Silk, has a feature that’s supposed to accelerate page loading: Popular pages are monitored by Amazon and cached on their servers, so when you browse to one of those sites, it loads faster. The problem is that the service doesn’t seem to work well; Vimeo user Sencha did a video comparison of the Fire’s browser with acceleration turned on and off, and the results showed that Silk doesn’t make much of a difference. For now, the iPad’s browser is just as fast as the Fire’s, but Kindle Fire now can upgrade to Jelly Bean which is considered as the best android system so that it can run faster on the web.

    Apps

The Fire will run on a modified version of Google's Android operating system. That means users will have access to several thousand apps in Amazon's app store for Android. The New iPad, of course, has access to more than 425,000 apps in the Apple Store. So, advantage iPad on this one.

Amazon has, of course, optimized the Fire for its own content, like streaming movies, e-books and music. It also will come with a 30-day free look at Amazon Prime, the company's premier service that offers free two-day shipping of products from Amazon.com and free streaming from a library of more than 11,000 movies and TV shows.

    Conclusion

We can get the conclusion that New iPad is better than Kindle Fire, but its expensive price may keep many people from buying it. Whatever, Kindle Fire is a best android tablet with an inexpensive price. When you decide to buy one from this two,you should synthesizes each factor and make a wise decision.

Sony's Next Xperia Tablet Shows Face

Prior to the “unveiling event” that Sony’s planning to hold in Berlin at the end of the month, some details regarding its mysterious Xperia tablet have recently popped online. From the use of Tegra 3 processor to its 9.4-inch HD display, the leaked slides show that Sony means serious business this time around by featuring specs that won’t disappoint, in order for the device to compete with the best tablets in the market.
    Xperia Tablet
While the specs definitely seem promising, the slides didn’t have any clear pictures of the tablet to really pique our interest. That is, until promotional pictures of the “evolved” Xperia tablet have been mercifully leaked.
    Xperia Tablet
Gone is the wedge shape that the previous Tablet S comes with. Actually, it’s not completely gone, but it’s somewhat been refined. The back cover is cladded with plastic on top, where you can see the Xperia branding, while the rest of the body is covered in aluminum. The power and volume button, meanwhile, are positioned on the right side of the tablet. Software-wise, the tablet seems to be running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
    Xperia Tablet
Aside from the fact that it’s set to be another gorgeous tablet offering from Sony, we now know that Xperia will be part of the tablet’s name. If the tablet is really priced to move (cheapest 16GB model to start at $400), we think Sony will have a good Q4. Guess we’ll have to wait for a couple of more weeks to find out the complete details. In the meantime, enjoy the leaked pictures of the slate.
